A few comments
about the SmoothE SF: I orginally tried it with a 300C-D and
11x8 prop. It did not produce enough speed. I switched to a
300C-C and 9x7 prop, and the SmoothE flew much better. I currently
has a Brushless Himax 2015-4100 in a GWS "D" gear
box swinging a 10x8. This provides amazing amounts of power.
I fastened my Aiptek camera to the plane, and it acted like
it wasn't even there. Grass field take-offs with this motor
are definitely not a problem. I may add ailerons.
